This page is in memory of my Shadow and Dj, 2 of my first mastiffs that made me fall head over heals in love with the breed.This first picture was my original Shadow Aka Southhaven's Eclipse with my daughter Taylor.

This picture is Zena she is the matriarch of our family. She is the mother of Asa my one and only stud as well as the mom of Shadow and Maddie. Zena is getting pretty old now she is 10 and is slowing down a bit but is still Queen Bee around here.
I guess now I should start out telling you a little about us and how we first fell in love with mastiffs. I saw my first mastiff over 20 years ago and it was love at first sight. Before I got into mastiffs I always had dogs, mostly Heinz 57's but I did breed labs until I got my first Mastiff. Once I met my husband we started breeding and showing quite a bit and I became a member of the MCOA and also was a foster home for MCOA rescue. We did this for a few years but after we moved to Florida my Champion male. Ch. Lyons Lair DJ died and we were both so broken hearted we decided to get out of mastiffs for awhile.We never sold all of our dogs but we cut back to 2 and quit showing and breeding. Last spring I decided I couldn't take the puppy withdrawals any longer and I finally got another female to have the occassional litter of pups Where we live we can't do any commercial breeding but that is fine with me. As long as I can have the love of my dogs and an occassional pup to satisfy my puppy breath withdrawals I'm good. We have no kennel dogs here only spoiled rotten babies. When I do have pups, they start out in a playpen next to my bed and after a few weeks end up in what used to be my dining room right off my kitchen. They are hand raised and handled from the minute they are born and are very well socialized when they go to their new homes. My pups parents have not been OFA'd however Asa's mom, Zena, is 10 and is showing no signs of hip problems. I believe one of the best signs of hip dysplasia and alot of medical problems is watching the parents and knowing the bloodline. Alot of breeders will disagree with me but I don't consider myself "a breeder" Every once in a while I have pups for people who are wanting to enrich their lives with these awesome dogs. Alot of people want a mastiff but can't afford a 2500.00& up dog. My pups are all vet checked and are guaranteed healthy at the time of the sale. The buyer has 7 days to take the pup to his or her own vet and if any problem is found the pup can be returned for a full refund. After the 7 days I do offer a 1 yr guarantee against any genetic defect that causes any severe disabilities.
Above is a picture of Asa Welcoming his dad home after being gone 2 weeks. As you can see from the picture Asa is around 190 pounds of pure muscle. He has a hug for anyone coming in the door that can actually hold him up. Asa is the perfect example of what I believe a mastiff should be. Big enough to make people think twice when they meet him and loving enough to have a hug and kiss for everyone he meets. Below you will see Asa's pedigree.

All of our pups are hand raised in the house with my children. These pups were bottle fed and very well socialized. My pups were bred for disposition and are spoiled rotten when you get them. Below we have Aonyx who was bred to Asa and had a beautiful litter of pups that were born on Jan. 25th 2008. They come with a Florida Health Certificate and a 1 yr health guarantee along with a copy of their pedigree and a Full AKC Registration. The last pup from this litter is a Brindle Female we call Izzy. She is now 3 months old and has a beautiful blocky head and a awesome temperment. Izzy's favorite thing to do is to sit in your lap and get and give kisses. She could do this all day long. Izzy if for sale for 1000.00 The picture of Izzy below was taken about a month ago so she has grown alot since then.
Now we have a new litter that was born on 4/17/08 to Dolly and Asa. This litter was not planned as we planned on taking a vacation this summer but for an accident it was a good one. Asa and Dolly had 8 gorgeous babes. 5 girls and 3 boys. These pups will be available on 6/12/08 and we will be taking deposits on these pups soon. Pups are shown below and in a few weeks I will post individual pictures of each pup.
